About Pendium Group

Thomas Wingard is a Principal of Pendium Group and a founding member of the company. With a professional background spanning residential construction, real estate, land development, and design, Thomas brings a broad perspective to the creation of Pendium's luxury custom homes. He is highly involved in each project from its earliest stages, leading client onboarding and conceptual design and working closely with clients to develop floor plans, exterior elevations, space planning, architectural details, and interior design direction before carrying that vision into construction. Thomas approaches design with an emphasis on creative problem-solving and the belief that exceptional homes should be both beautiful and highly functional. His goal is to create homes that feel thoughtful, balanced, and distinctive without sacrificing the practical needs of the people who will live in them.

Since Pendium's founding, Thomas has worked to build the company around integrity, quality, and the careful stewardship of each client's investment. He believes a successful custom-home experience should result not only in an exceptional home, but also in a relationship built on trust that extends well beyond the completion of the project. That philosophy is reflected in Pendium's longstanding client relationships and in the referrals and recommendations that have become an important part of the company's growth.

Thomas is an alumnus of the College of Charleston, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Commercial Real Estate, and holds a South Carolina Real Estate Broker's License. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and is actively involved in James Island Christian Church, where he and his family serve and volunteer in the church and surrounding community.

Tom Wingard is a Principal of Pendium Group and brings more than 40 years of experience in construction, development, and real estate to the company. Throughout his career, Tom has founded and led successful companies in construction, development, and real estate brokerage, developing a broad and detailed understanding of the building process. His analytical approach and deep technical knowledge allow him to work through complex construction challenges, evaluate solutions from first principles, and remain closely involved in the details that ultimately determine the quality of a finished home.

Tom approaches every project with a deep commitment to quality and a genuine sense of personal responsibility for the outcome. He believes clients deserve honesty, integrity, clear communication, and a team that treats their home and investment with the same care it would its own. Known for his accessibility and thoroughness, Tom remains closely engaged with clients throughout the process and is often at his best when a project presents a difficult problem that requires careful analysis and a practical solution. He holds a high standard for the details and works to ensure that each is properly resolved and that the finished work reflects the level of craftsmanship Pendium expects.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Guilford College and holds unlimited residential and commercial General Contractor licenses in South Carolina. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife of more than 40 years, his children, and his grandchildren.

Mark serves as Director of Field Operations for Pendium, providing leadership and oversight for the field operations of all projects. With more than seven years of experience in new residential construction prior to joining the Pendium team, Mark managed projects ranging from individual homes to entire residential neighborhoods, coordinating the construction process from initial site work through final completion and homeowner turnover. Throughout his career, he has been involved in more than $150 million in residential construction.

His experience encompasses virtually every aspect of field operations, from groundbreaking through project closeout. Mark has earned a reputation in the industry for his thoroughness, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring that work is completed properly and that each homeowner feels confident, cared for, and excited to move into their new home. He places particular value on craftsmanship, integrity, accountability, and maintaining strong relationships with the trades and professionals involved in each project. At Pendium, Mark is focused on delivering a well-managed construction experience while ensuring that every home reflects both the company's standards and its commitment to the client. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young son and is active in his local church.
